     Jan has been associated with HomeStead Real Estate as the Bookkeeper since the company began. She and her husband, Bruce, and their three children have lived in West Cape May for over 27 years.  Jan's husband Bruce is a partner in Gaver and Conwell, P.A., a law firm whose focus of law is primarily Wills and Estates Planning. 

While active on the West Cape May School Board, Jan still found time to play and coach softball, volleyball, and golf.  When her children were younger, Jan began her own bookkeeping business.  With all three of their children grown, and the oldest married, Jan has devoted herself to successfully selling Real Estate.  In her first year as a full time agent, Jan was able to sell 3 million dollars worth of property, and in her second year, her sales exceeded 7 million.  Since then, her numbers have continued to grow.  For the last three years, Jan has been the top producing agent in our office.

 

Jan and her business partner Ann have bought several properties together.  The first property was a small single family home in the Villas that they were able to successfully "flip".  Since then they have gone on to purchase a duplex and a single family home in Cape May, both of which were in need renovations.  By owning investment properties, obtaining permits, dealing with contractors, and the rental market, the experience has brought a wealth of practical experience to Jan's real estate knowledge.

2011 Recap

This was not a great year to be selling your home.  Many of my clients were faced with the difficult decision to sell at a loss.  The flip side is, that many first time homebuyers were able to get some great deals and low interest rates.  Personally, I was able to list and sell 13 homes in a very poor market.  Thank you to all my clients that weathered the storm and hung in there with me.
